Roehampton – Your Councillors

Councillor Sue McKinney

I am a senior lecturer at Roehampton University and have lived in Roehampton for over 30 years. I will be specialising in Adult Care and Health. I will also be scrutinising the Council’s grants system.

My work as a Councillor for Roehampton and Putney Heath has also focussed on fair access to housing for all residents, particularly in my role as a member of the Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

I have also worked alongside the Pocklington Trust to ensure that residents with visual impairments are given the housing they need. I would like the chance to continue this work as Councillor for Roehampton and Putney.

I am a local mother of three young children, a qualified barrister and part-time lawyer focussing on human and employment right, cyclist, keen baker, amateur musician, and volunteer with many community groups across the borough.

As a Councillor I will be specialising in housing, regeneration and planning. I also want to work on inclusion of young people and students in Roehampton and across our Borough.

I’m originally from Norther Ireland, having attended school there. I came to England at 18 and settled in SW London after university, in large part because of how welcoming the area is, and its many beautiful, green open spaces. As your Councillor I’ll work hard to continue to make Roehampton a fantastic place to live, work and visit.

Councillor Jeremey Ambache

I have worked in local government for 35 years, and feel passionately that the Council should provide the right services for the community. I was first elected as a Councillor in Roehampton and Putney Heath in 2014. As a councillor, I worked tirelessly to campaign against cuts to school budgets in Wandsworth, and led the campaign to save Alton Activity Centre. I hope to build on this important work for Roehampton and Putney heath in the months and years ahead.
