West Hill

Your Labour Councillors

Councillor: Angela Ireland

After spending years representing my area of West Hill in Wandsworth’s resident participation structure, I am proud to be a member of the Council’s Housing Committee. I aim to ensure that all residents have a chance to influence the decisions made about their homes. I believe it is essential to listen to the views of all users of council services. We need more meaningful consultation about decisions that affect us all.

Councillor: Peter Carpenter

Wandsworth’s planning system shapes new development all over our community. As a member of the Council’s Planning Committee I will do my utmost to ensure that new development is in the public interest. As the son of a bricklayer I am passionate about building more affordable homes. We need homes local residents can really afford.

The next Labour government will end leasehold ownership of new-build houses and flats and give new rights to existing leaseholders under proposals from shadow Housing Secretary, John Healey MP. Your views are welcome. Pedestrian crossing on Augustus Road

We are petitioning for a pedestrian crossing to be installed near the junction of Augustus Road and Princes Way as part of the Council’s plans for improving the ‘streetscape’ around Southfields. This is a dangerous junction with limited visibility close to three schools, medical facilities and bus stops. Support our petition
